These terms of service govern the use of the mobile application Data Manager Classic (hereinafter "App"). By using the App, you agree to these terms.
The App is a personal relational database tool. Users define their own tables, fields (across 17 supported types: text, number, money, checkbox, combobox, counter, date, time, date+time, image, location, rating, spinner, URL, email, phone, reference) and rows. Optional features include cross-table references, per-field encryption, per-database password protection, sort and grouping with totals, custom appearance per database, shareable database definitions (schema only or with data), and CSV import/export compatible with the original webOS Data Manager 1.7.x format.
All data is stored exclusively locally on your device. This includes databases, tables, fields, row values, attached images, per-database appearance settings, and app-level preferences. No data is transmitted to external servers. The App makes no network requests.

You can optionally protect a database with a password and mark individual fields as encrypted. Encrypted field values are stored on disk as Blowfish/CBC ciphertext under a passphrase-derived key; the passphrase is wrapped under your password. Forgetting your password makes encrypted fields unreadable — there is no recovery mechanism, by design. You are solely responsible for remembering passwords and passphrases you set.
The App embeds no third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, or cloud sync. The App may, when triggered by you, hand off to other applications installed on your device:
Those system-provided services and any third-party apps you may have set as defaults are subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
The databases, tables, fields, and row values you create remain yours. The App processes them only locally and only as required to render and persist the schema and data you define.
All rights to the App, its design, and content belong to the provider, unless otherwise stated. The App is the spiritual successor to Data Manager 1.7.x by VivaLV Software for HP webOS (2012); the original concept and feature set are credited there. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App in accordance with these terms.
The App is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, the provider's liability for damages is limited. No guarantee is given for the accuracy of GPS positions captured into Location fields, the integrity of data entered, or the prevention of data loss caused by device failure, operating-system updates, or user actions. Make your own backups via the CSV export feature.
The provider may modify these terms of service or features of the App. Material changes will be published within the App and on the App's website. Your continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance.
You may terminate use at any time by uninstalling the App. All locally stored data is removed upon uninstallation.
These terms are governed by German law, unless mandatory provisions require otherwise. Jurisdiction is determined by statutory provisions.
