Terms of Service
1. General
These terms of service govern the use of the mobile application Parking Reminder - Car Finder (hereinafter "App"). By using the App, you agree to these terms.
2. Service Description
The App is a parking reminder that saves your parking location via GPS, provides navigation back to your car, includes a parking meter timer with notifications, supports photo documentation of parking spots, and offers a parking history with trash/restore functionality. All of these features are free to use. An optional one-time in-app purchase ("Parking Reminder Pro") adds backup and restore, CSV export and statistics (see section 3).
3. In-App Purchase "Parking Reminder Pro"
The App offers an optional in-app purchase that permanently unlocks additional features. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription; no recurring charges arise. The price displayed in the App at the time of purchase is the applicable one.
The purchase and its payment are handled by Google Play. The Google Play terms of service apply in addition; refunds are governed by the refund policies published there. Your statutory rights, in particular warranty rights and any right of withdrawal, remain unaffected.
The entitlement is tied to the Google account used for the purchase, not to a particular device. After a reinstall, or on another device using the same account, the purchase can be restored without paying again.
Features that are free as of this version will not be moved behind the purchase afterwards.
4. Data Storage
All data is stored exclusively locally on your device. This includes parking locations, photos, videos, notes, timer settings and preferences. This data is not transmitted to the provider. Some features do require a connection to the outside, however — nearby parking queries the OpenStreetMap project's Overpass API, while the map view and address lookup use Google services; see the privacy policy for details. If Android's backup service is enabled, the operating system may back up the database and settings to your Google account; see the privacy policy for details.

Information about the processing of personal data can be found in our privacy policy.
6. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party navigation apps (e.g. Google Maps, TomTom) for directions to your parking spot. These apps are subject to their own terms and privacy policies. The App uses Google Play Services for location determination and Google Play Billing for the optional in-app purchase.
7. Copyright and App Content
All rights to the App, its design and content belong to the provider, unless otherwise stated. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the App in accordance with these terms.
8. Liability
The App is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, the provider's liability for damages is limited. No guarantee is given for the accuracy of GPS positions, address resolution or data loss. The App should not be used as the sole means of finding your vehicle in emergency situations.
9. Changes to Terms and App
The provider may modify these terms of service or features of the App. Your continued use constitutes acceptance.
10. Termination
You may terminate use at any time by uninstalling the App. All locally stored data will be removed upon uninstallation.
11. Applicable Law
These terms are governed by German law, unless mandatory provisions require otherwise. Jurisdiction is determined by statutory provisions.
