Tag-style and many-to-many — a note can belong to several. Set a per-category lock timeout (e.g. Passwords re-locks immediately). Tap the ⇅ button in the top bar, then drag to reorder them — your custom order, not just alphabetical.

Keep a note visible as a persistent, silent notification: pull down the status bar and read it without opening the app. Updates when you edit the note, survives reboots, and tapping it opens the note. On the lock screen only a placeholder shows if "hide sensitive content" is enabled.

AES-256-GCM, 12-byte random nonce per field, 16-byte authentication tag. Format: v1:<b64(iv)>:<b64(ct+tag)>. The 256-bit data encryption key is wrapped in an Android Keystore key — it never leaves the hardware-backed key store in plaintext.

Unlike a backup, multi-device sync merges your notes with the cloud note by note: the newer version of each note wins, and trashed notes move to the trash everywhere. Set the same backup password on every device, then sync manually — or enable "Sync automatically" (app start + about daily in the background). Attachments are not synced; emptying the trash never propagates.
